The Henn Haus Coming to Life

Standing in back yard looking at back door.  AMAZING!

Here's a shot of the Master Bathroom Walls

I stand here looking down the hall towards the big window and it really makes me happy.  I love these windows and how I can see my horses!

In front of the window you can see where the bathtub will be put into the ground.  I love sunk-in bathtubs!  I haven't seen one in real life, only magazines.  Very soon I'll be slipping into this tub.  We have decided to have all clear glass windows and I couldn't be happier.

We framed in a window over our front door.  We were going to put in a gable window "dog house" window, but we decided it was looking like a church.  We had planned on putting reclaimed cedar posts out front, but with the front of the house facing the Western dessert Sunset, we decided to re-think the cedar.....so there goes the gable window.  We had to have it re-framed for a semi-circle window.  I'm so glad we changed it.

Temporary stair railing over looking the 2-story great room.

Super tall garage doors are smart!

Lifting up the walls to the two story great room.

SE Corner Bedroom.  I love the windows in the corner of the room, the kids wanted to put cornered glass in there.  We settled on putting them close enough to be able to use 2 curtain rods or a corner curtain rod.

Framed and starting the exterior walls.  Future back porch and back yard area.

Walls are up....and the nice black roofing was installed.  Here we are driving up to the site after being at our day jobs.  Next up....windows & doors.  I really like the look of how it's nestled into the Pine Trees.

Our little man outside of his bedroom window.  All bedrooms upstairs have a direct "step-out" onto the roof for a fire escape route.  We didn't have that in our last house, and this just made so much more sense to me.
